I love painting Sunflowers!

The problem is, I'm just not much for painting en plein air.

Call me a priss, but I don't like to sweat or be cold,

or be engulfed in swarms of bees or mosquitoes.

My idea of the outdoors is beer and bbq on a shady patio.

These were real sunflowers though, just cut and put in a vase.

Hey, whatever floats your boat, right?

Thinking about a beachy vacation. Maybe next year.

Instead, for now, it's time to plan for a our trip to the lake.

Not quite the same, but it's water and with a boat

and a dock to jump off of, we'll have a blast, I'm sure.

It really doesn't matter much where we go, just so

I'm with people I love and we all laugh a lot,

I'm happy.

I admit it! I declared time away from facebook to clean up my studio and paint this week. However I have succumbed to you know what.

NETFLIX!! I have watched three seasons in a week! Three seasons of Drop Dead Diva! I don't even know how many seasons there are. Can someone tell me? I'm afraid to find out.  All is not completely lost though, as I watched DDD I have managed to finish a couple projects for the yard and I have straightened up my studio space. Tomorrow I have a meeting to design some new marketing pieces. Thurs. I'll start a pet portrait commission. Well anyway, that's the plan, Stan!
