So here's another new painting. Silly me. I just realized I've transitioned back to figure work. Years ago, at a point where I was disheartened with my art, I made the decision to stop doing paintings with people in them. That was when I started doing still life and floral paintings exclusively. And that was fine. But these days I don't care much about what others say I should do. I'm just going with whatever flows through me at the time, and recently those flows are involving people, in one way or another.
This particular piece is from a recent trip to Kansas City, at Union Station. Love the light. Hate that everyone is always on their phone.
Hey that might be a good title for this one, "Always on Their Phones".
