My Muse is Bored and Fat

Thirty Day Painting Challenge? Well I got to day 23.

What can I say? We've been basically snowed in here in St. Louis since the first week of January. At first it was great. It gave me tons of time to paint, then I simply lost my muse. Well actually, I think "she" was just miserably bored and fat from grazing through the kitchen for weeks on end, therefore in a creative funk. But today "she" decided to get over herself. So tonight I found my way back to my studio and there she was, just waiting. So I quickly grabbed the first thing I could find (that I wouldn't eat) and here you are...

I noticed some of your pieces on another Daily Show and was interested because i did an entire show in 2010 around "Food." One of my favorite subjects for art and for life.

Your strawberries and blueberries remind me of one of my pieces called
Strawberries and Cream, which is on my site.

I like your work and understand the sleeping muse. Mine just woke up yesterday and i now have two paintings underway.

I guess we should embrace this cold weather as a time to be stuck inside with time for painting! (and cooking, and eating what we cook!)

Best
Diane

Thank you Diane for taking the time to comment.
I enjoyed your work too. Keep up the great work!
Thanks again,
